The shape of a staircase may depend on the space available, the age of the property and your budget, as well as your likes and dislikes. There are several shapes of staircases to choose from including straight flight stairs, spiral stairs, curved staircases or dog-legged stairs to name but a few. There are also ultra-modern shapes and styles that are increasingly popular such as the magically floating cantilevered stairs. For some applications, such as mezzanine floors, contemporary fixed ladder style wood staircases are an increasingly popular choice. Whatever your preference, our team of expert joiners can do it all.
As well as creating an entirely new set of stairs, our team can also work on staircase restoration projects. The split staircase, for example, is common as the main, sweeping staircase in period properties. Risers may need replacing or bannisters or strings, all tasks our joiners are able to complete to a high standard and finish.
The staircase needs to be designed to meet current building regulations, including the correct balustrades and bannisters. Knowing your project is in safe hands means turning to the expert team at Bodnant Joinery.
